Rockwood, Ontario is an awesome spot, but a lot of people don’t really know where it’s at and aren’t sure if it’s a good spot for them. Today, I’ll walk you through some of the pros and cons of living in Rockwood so you can decide whether or not it’s a good fit for you.
One of the main things people complain about here is the distance from Toronto. If you need to commute to Toronto for work, then Rockwood is a bit of a drive – 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. However, for people working remotely, this is a great option, as it offers pretty good home prices and a country feel, without being too far from some of the amenities most people enjoy.
That being said, there are some amazing food spots, parks, and really great schools in Rockwood, which are just a few of the reasons it’s in high demand right now. You’re also really close to Guelph, Halton Hills and Milton, so Rockwood enjoys a lot of the same amenities as some of these high-ticket areas, which is a huge plus.
